It really depends on how successful the fest is, is it able to draw the attention of students from other regions and does it have enough credibility to catch the attention of its peers. Well if yes then I see no harm in organizing two tech fest each year.

It depends upon the situations and circumstances. If the students want to only have one technical fest, then let it be. However, other factors should be evaluate. Higher education is a greater necessity in the workforce, and not everyone has the time to return to a normal 4 year institution. Thus, many people turn to online degree programs – often, their overhead will be lower than that of a normal university, and since they don't have a football team to fund, they can charge less, although some don't. If you are considering online college be VERY cautious, and make sure you check to see the bona fides and certifications, any lawsuits that might have been filed against the online university you're considering. If you don't, you might wind up running for payday loans to pay for a worthless degree.
i agree with the comment above .all should consider it as OUR fest rather than Committee fest. I am doing ma PG . we also have a single fest but unline svnit we never have any official persons named as convener or anything as such. anyone who can contributes is welcomed. its great unity this way but keeping in mind the strength of svnit its difficult to follow such model like ma PG

There was no option for no fest so I checked One Fest.Useless people in important committee makes whole the event Ass kicking fiasco of our Sardar Vallabhbhai NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.They are not gonna stop this politics and assobaji so better stop FEsts.Take example of Mindbend 2008.Excellent Example of team work.We didn't found anything great like that in our college.Faculties are just not interested.So please minimize no of formalities per year to reduce the economical stress .Better we use this money for JOYFEST like program.Atleast we can see real human there with out any politics.Actually it gives more satisfaction instead of watching heart paining management of fests.
Today my friend from Nadiad called me."Hey,whens your autofest?"...I was just dumbstuck..Lost my nerves...I said it's over and cut the call.....

Suppose that You are thirsty.At that time You get dirty water.So what? will you drink? NO.But either you try to clean it or leave it and if thirst is more you'll try searching other source but probably you'll not gonna drink that water unless you are dying.
=> I have seen so-many times that the 1 fest committee members will try to disturb the activities of the other. It's a shame to our clg. But this is the fact. I still remember what the ppl of Quest did 4 E-meet'08 posters in our hostels.
=>Any1 who went for sponsors in the past can easily understand the problems of multi 'fests'. Better ex. of PT vs IMS during autumn-fest!
=> whole college should united & say that it's not our college fest;but its ours only! So, we are the part of fest;not only the comt. members. This may possible only if there is only 1 fest.
=> Possible solution for our netas may be >1 convener OR >2 co-conveners. Anyways, I am not sure abt this. It may induce some more difficulties.
=>when there r >1 fests, clg will try to divide the funds to all fests. Otherwise, they can grant us a HUGE amt for only 1 fest.
More than all these pts, "One megaFest will be 'X'times better than those individual 'X'fests" :0)
@forecd2join: cancellin all the fests is just like droppin the whole course if u got less marks in some internals. Fests also gives some amt of publicity 2 any clg.
@admin: I know so many such incidents that cannot be mentioned here. I took one example of them. that's all(!intended to hurt any1 ). So, we can crap those things if there is only 1fest.

i agree with the comment above .all should consider it as OUR fest rather than Committee fest. Whether good or bad...we do need one fest a year...else we will only degenerate further
